1950's Abstract Expressionism: Song Vibes
This recent project had students listen to a song and utilize line and color to emulate the emotion or vibe of the song. The youtube link and title of each song/piece is listed below the final image. Check it out!

"Civil War": Art inspired by social conflict
Students researched significant areas of conflict, dispute, and turmoil of their choice. They were asked to make a piece of art which commented on an issue which is important to them.
The gallery below features work from Pop Art, Conceptual Art and Abstract Expressionism units. Contributing artists are from both middle and high school level.
